YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW
Back in 2015, when it was grounded, Skin Deep was producing basic apparel and jewellery made with gestural calligraphy and illustrations of designer, Marina Moldovan.
Today, after shifting exclusively to jewellery, our on-going collections consist of iconic Skin Deep pieces - hand-finished text necklaces - while developing a new line of gold and diamond collectibles.
Inspired by the everyday life of the fashionable young-at-heart babe, our pieces are designed to last forever, aesthetically and durably.

Our definition of skin deep lies in being yourself, wearing what makes you feel good and not being bothered by what others think of you. This is the babe who is comfortable in her own skin, has an unshakeable universe of personal mantras and loves life. If that is superficial, we sure as hell love it!
BASICS ON JEWELLERY MAKING
Skin Deep collaborates with jewellers or small workshops where production is carefully supervised, with great attention to detail and finishing. All jewellery is handmade and/or hand finished in Romania. The basic materials come from certified sources and the production in general seeks to meet all sustainability standards.
We value our relationship with our manufacturers and respect for their work, which we also want to communicate to our customers. That's why we are open to share details about how the jewellery is made, where the materials come from or who was in charge of ordering them.
WHAT MATERIALS DO WE USE?
We have recently developed a strong passion for gold. In order to make the pieces more affordable, we use 14K gold in combination with diamonds, which can be replaced with more expensive materials on request. We’ve also kept the light collections, (produced in sterling silver) which consist of easy-to-wear pieces and are closer to fashion trends.
